Triangulation did not work for us in 2005

Labour's progression to the Right after 2001 had the comedic, but worrying effect of seeing a Tory Party jump even further to the extremes of politics. However I think the benefits of the further triangulating push to the Right stop there.

The party faces challenges, but we can overcome with our idealism

The Lyndon Baines Johnson White House brought forward impressive civil rights legislation and the incredibly noble idea of the 'Great Society.' It was brought down by an unpopular and expensive war which drained money and political will. It is a warning to us for what happens when things go wrong, but Labour is in a strong position to avoid repeating the fate of the Democratic Party's fall from grace in the 1960s.
